PHPTRAVELS has completed 12 new payment gateway integrations: SSLCommerz, Razorpay, Authorize.Net, CCAvenue, Paytm, PayTabs, Moyasar, iyzico, Paymob, DPO Pay, PayFast and Square. Travel agencies, tour operators and online booking businesses in Bangladesh, India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt, Africa, South Africa and the United States can now take payments through a gateway their customers already know, without building the integration themselves.
This post is the hub for the release. It lists each gateway with its country, currency and the payment methods it is known for, explains why it matters for a travel business in that market, and shows how to switch a gateway on in the PHPTRAVELS admin panel. One rule applies to all of them: gateway activation and supported payment methods depend on your merchant account, country and provider approval.
The 12 new payment gateway integrations at a glance

Each gateway is configured in PHPTRAVELS with the currency below. The payment methods are the ones each provider publishes; what your customers actually see depends on what the provider enables on your account.

South Asia: SSLCommerz, Razorpay, CCAvenue and Paytm
Bangladesh and India are mobile-first payment markets. Customers expect to pay a travel booking with a bKash wallet or a UPI app, not only a card, and a checkout that only takes Visa and Mastercard loses them at the last step.
SSLCommerz: Bangladesh (BDT)

SSLCOMMERZ describes itself as the largest payment gateway aggregator in Bangladesh and says it holds a PSO licence from Bangladesh Bank. Its checkout covers debit, credit and prepaid cards, mobile banking brands such as bKash, Nagad and Rocket, internet banking and card EMI from participating banks.
For travel, mobile banking is the point. Many Bangladeshi customers buying an Umrah package, a Cox’s Bazar trip or a ticket to Kuala Lumpur pay from a bKash or Nagad wallet. SSLCOMMERZ’s pricing page lists rates starting at 2.5% per successful transaction at the time of writing, and its developer docs set a per-transaction range of 10 to 500,000 BDT, so very large group bookings may need to be split or paid by bank transfer. Our SSLCommerz setup guide walks through sandbox testing, going live and reconciliation step by step.
Razorpay: India (INR)

Razorpay is an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. According to its payment methods documentation, the default checkout includes UPI apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe and BHIM, debit and credit cards including RuPay, netbanking, wallets and card EMI.
UPI is the habit for most Indian travellers, and NPCI raised the UPI limit for verified travel merchants to ₹5 lakh per transaction from 15 September 2025, which makes UPI realistic for family holidays and Umrah packages. Banks can still apply lower limits, so keep cards and netbanking as a fallback. At the time of writing the Razorpay pricing page lists a 2% platform fee per successful domestic transaction plus GST, with no setup fee. A dedicated Razorpay setup guide, from API keys to settlements, is coming next on the PHPTRAVELS blog.
CCAvenue: India (INR)

CCAvenue, run by Infibeam Avenues and operating since 2001, is one of India’s longest-established gateways. Its payment gateway page lists 200+ payment options, including 6 credit card brands, 97+ debit cards, 58+ netbanking banks, UPI, 13 prepaid instruments and 15 bank EMI options. CCAvenue also offers multi-currency processing in 27 foreign currencies with settlement in INR.
The bank coverage is why many Indian travel portals choose it: corporate clients and older customers often prefer paying from their own bank’s netbanking, and EMI from 15 banks helps on premium tours and international holidays. In PHPTRAVELS, CCAvenue is configured for INR, so treat CCAvenue’s multi-currency feature as something to discuss with CCAvenue rather than a storefront feature.
Paytm: India (INR)

Paytm’s All-in-One Payment Gateway accepts all UPI apps, cards, net banking and EMI. Its standard pricing page lists 0% for UPI and RuPay debit cards and 1.99% for credit cards and net banking, with no setup fee or annual maintenance charge. Paytm’s own terms say rates can differ by merchant category, so confirm the rate offered to your travel business before you price on it.
One change to plan for: in a stock exchange disclosure dated 15 September 2026, Paytm reported that NPCI has introduced a merchant discount rate of up to 0.4% on UPI merchant payments above ₹2,000, effective 15 October 2026. Most travel bookings are above that amount, so “free UPI” will not stay free for most travel tickets. Customers still pay nothing extra.
Middle East, Türkiye and Egypt: PayTabs, Moyasar, iyzico and Paymob
Across the Gulf, cards and Apple Pay dominate online checkout, with local debit schemes such as mada in Saudi Arabia. Türkiye runs on credit card instalments, and Egypt still relies heavily on mobile wallets and cash.
PayTabs: UAE (AED)

PayTabs started in 2014 with a Saudi founder and now operates across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq and other markets. In the UAE it supports card payments and, according to its support portal, Apple Pay in AED and USD, Samsung Pay for live merchants, and buy-now-pay-later through Tabby and Tamara.
Dubai travel businesses sell to two very different buyers: tourists booking desert safaris, city tours and transfers, and UAE residents booking outbound holidays. Both expect Apple Pay and cards, and instalments help residents spread the cost of a family trip. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and BNPL options each need separate activation through PayTabs, and BNPL providers run their own merchant assessment, so allow time before you advertise them.
Moyasar: Saudi Arabia (SAR)

Moyasar is a Saudi payment company operating under the supervision of the Saudi Central Bank. It supports mada, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, STC Pay and Samsung Pay, and its developer docs offer a free sandbox that simulates the payment network before you go live.
mada is the national debit network, so a Saudi checkout without it turns away a large share of local cardholders. Moyasar also publishes refund timings worth putting in your cancellation policy: about 24 hours to 3 business days for mada cards, and 7 to 14 business days for credit cards. Saudi Umrah operators that collect deposits and instalments per pilgrim group can compare how TravelBookingPortal’s Umrah booking software overview handles staged payments alongside packages, transport and manifests.
iyzico: Türkiye (TRY)

iyzico says it serves more than 110,000 merchants in Türkiye. Its standout feature for travel is instalments: Turkish shoppers routinely split purchases into taksit on credit card families such as Bonus, World, Maximum, Axess, CardFinans, Paraf and Advantage, as listed in iyzico’s instalment and BIN service docs. Customers can also pay through the Pay with iyzico wallet.
For an Antalya beach package or a Cappadocia tour sold to Turkish customers, offering 3, 6 or 9 instalments can decide whether the booking happens. Two details to know: the instalment rates and commission are set in your iyzico control panel, and iyzico’s help centre says foreign-currency payments are an add-on and are converted to Turkish lira at settlement. PHPTRAVELS configures iyzico for TRY.
Paymob: Egypt (EGP)

Paymob is an Egypt-founded payment provider that also operates in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman. Its checkout documentation lists cards, Egyptian mobile wallets (Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, e& money, WE Pay and bank wallets), Apple Pay and Google Pay, and instalment providers such as valU, Sympl and Souhoola. Paymob also offers kiosk payments, where the customer gets a reference and pays cash at a supported outlet.
Paymob’s pricing page lists a standard rate of 2.75% + 3 EGP per transaction, with no monthly fee and weekly settlement, at the time of writing. For travel, read the method rules closely: Paymob says not every method is enabled by default, and its kiosk method does not support refunds. Use kiosk payments for non-refundable or low-risk bookings, and keep cards or wallets for anything with a cancellation window.
Africa: DPO Pay and PayFast
African travel payments split into two worlds: international tourists paying in dollars by card, and local customers paying by mobile money or instant bank transfer. These two gateways cover both.
DPO Pay: international and African markets (USD)

DPO Pay, now part of Network International, says it operates in more than 20 countries, supports 20+ currencies and lists travel and tourism among the industries it serves. Beyond cards, its payment methods page lists mobile money wallets such as M-PESA, Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, Vodacom M-Pesa, Orange Money and Tigo Pesa.
That combination suits safari operators, lodges and DMCs in Kenya, Tanzania and the wider region. A US or European guest booking a Masai Mara safari pays by card in USD, while a domestic customer may prefer M-PESA. PHPTRAVELS configures DPO Pay in USD; mobile money normally runs in local currency, so confirm with DPO which methods your account can offer on USD transactions.
PayFast: South Africa (ZAR)

Payfast by Network offers 18+ payment methods, including cards, Instant EFT, Capitec Pay, QR payments such as SnapScan and Scan to Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and buy-now-pay-later through Payflex. Its fees page lists, at the time of writing, 3.2% + R2.00 for card payments and 2.0% (minimum R2.00) for Instant EFT, excluding VAT, with no monthly fee on its aggregation plan.
Instant EFT matters in South Africa because many customers would rather pay from their bank than enter card details, and it costs less. A Cape Town tour operator or Garden Route lodge can offer both and let the customer choose. PayFast also charges a fixed fee per payout and per refund, so factor that into small-ticket bookings and cancellations.
United States: Authorize.Net and Square
US travel businesses usually fall into one of two groups: agencies with an established merchant account who need a reliable gateway on top, and smaller operators who want one provider for everything.
Authorize.Net: United States (USD)

Authorize.Net, a Visa company, accepts credit and debit cards, eCheck, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Its pricing page offers two models at the time of writing: an all-in-one plan at $25 a month plus 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, or a gateway-only plan at $25 a month plus 10¢ per transaction and a 10¢ daily batch fee for businesses that already have a merchant account. eCheck is available to US-based businesses only.
The gateway-only option is the one many travel agencies need. Banks often classify travel as high-risk, because customers pay now for trips that happen later, so agencies frequently hold a specialist merchant account and connect it through Authorize.Net. Our post on the PHPTRAVELS and PaymentCloud partnership explains how high-risk merchant accounts work. Authorize.Net also provides a free sandbox that simulates card networks without processing real payments.
Square: United States (USD)

Square is best known for in-person payments, but its online checkout accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay and Afterpay. Square’s online checkout page lists 3.3% + 30¢ per online transaction for new customers and 6% + 30¢ for Afterpay, with no monthly fee, at the time of writing.
Square suits small US tour, activity and transfer operators who already take payments in person with Square: a walking-tour company, a boat-trip operator or a shuttle service can see online bookings and on-the-day payments in one Square account. Funds can move to a linked bank account the next business day, or instantly for a fee.
What this means for your travel business

New payment gateway integrations are only useful if they change what happens at checkout. Here is what each benefit means in practice.
- More payment choices. Travellers can pay with methods they already trust in their market: bKash in Dhaka, UPI in Mumbai, mada in Riyadh, taksit in Istanbul, Vodafone Cash in Cairo, M-PESA in Nairobi, Instant EFT in Cape Town.
- Global business expansion. One PHPTRAVELS platform can now serve agencies across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America with a gateway built for each region.
- Regional payment solutions. Local gateways usually support local schemes and wallets that global processors cover only partly, and they settle in the local currency your suppliers and bank use.
- Better checkout experience. A familiar payment page reduces drop-off at the most expensive moment of the booking. For PCI, fraud and chargeback basics, read our guide to travel booking payment security.
- Simplified payment management. Each supported gateway is configured from the PHPTRAVELS admin panel: credentials, currency, environment, order and status in one screen.
- More growth opportunities. Entering a new market no longer means paying a developer to build a gateway from scratch before you can take the first booking.
- Full business control. You choose the gateways that match your merchant accounts. Payments settle to your own accounts, and PHPTRAVELS takes no commission on bookings.
How to enable a new payment gateway in the PHPTRAVELS admin

Every new payment gateway integration follows the same pattern as the existing ones, described in the PHPTRAVELS payments documentation. Existing clients first need the latest release: back up your files and database and follow the update instructions. Enterprise includes lifetime updates; on Startup and Agency, updates are bought separately when you need them.
- Open the gateway. In the admin panel, go to Settings, then Payment Gateways (wording may vary slightly by version), and open the gateway you want.
- Set the customer-facing label. This optional name is shown at checkout, on invoices and in emails instead of the provider name, for example “UPI, cards and netbanking” for Razorpay.
- Enter API credentials. Paste the keys from your provider’s dashboard, such as Razorpay’s Key ID and Key Secret. Start with test or sandbox keys.
- Check the currency. Each gateway has a supported currency, for example INR for Razorpay or ZAR for PayFast. It should match your merchant account and the currency you sell in.
- Set the order. Lower numbers appear higher in the list of payment options, so put the method most of your customers use first.
- Choose environment and status. Use Development with test keys and Production with live keys, and set the gateway to Active.
- Run a test booking. Book a real product on your site, pay with the test method, and confirm the booking status, the payment record in PHPTRAVELS and the transaction in the provider’s dashboard.
- Go live. Swap in live keys, switch to Production and make one small real booking before you announce it.
Refunds, webhooks and partial captures behave differently from one provider to the next. Until PHPTRAVELS support confirms how a specific gateway handles them in your installation, issue refunds from the provider’s dashboard and ask support which callback or webhook URL, if any, needs to be set on the provider side. Our page on travel payment gateway integration explains how payment status and booking status should move together.
Choosing the right payment gateway by market
Start from where your customers are and which currency you sell in, then look at the methods they actually use. A simple rule of thumb:
- Selling to Bangladesh: SSLCommerz, for bKash, Nagad and local cards.
- Selling to India: Razorpay for a modern UPI-first checkout, CCAvenue for the widest bank and EMI coverage, Paytm for low published UPI and RuPay rates. Some agencies run two, so one can carry traffic if the other has an outage.
- UAE: PayTabs, with Apple Pay and BNPL activated.
- Saudi Arabia: Moyasar, so mada and STC Pay are covered.
- Türkiye: iyzico, with instalments configured for your products.
- Egypt: Paymob, with wallets enabled and kiosk reserved for non-refundable bookings.
- East and Southern Africa tourism: DPO Pay for USD card payments from foreign tourists and mobile money where available.
- South Africa: PayFast, offering both cards and Instant EFT.
- United States: Authorize.Net if you already have a merchant account, Square if you want one provider for online and in-person payments.
If you sell in more than one currency, check your plan first: Startup and Agency run a single storefront currency and Enterprise supports unlimited currencies, as listed on the PHPTRAVELS pricing page. Our guide to multi-currency travel booking software explains the FX side.
Running several gateways also means several settlement reports. Match each paid booking to its gateway transaction ID every day, and reconcile settlements net of fees against your bank statement. If that is still a spreadsheet job, Travel CRM System keeps invoices, dues and received payments next to each booking. For a deeper framework, see how to choose a payment gateway for a travel agency.
Payment gateway integrations: FAQ
Which payment gateways did PHPTRAVELS add?
Twelve: SSLCommerz (BDT), Razorpay (INR), Authorize.Net (USD), CCAvenue (INR), Paytm (INR), PayTabs (AED), Moyasar (SAR), iyzico (TRY), Paymob (EGP), DPO Pay (USD), PayFast (ZAR) and Square (USD).
Do I need my own merchant account with each gateway?
Yes. Each business signs up with the provider, completes its onboarding and KYC, and receives its own API credentials. Payments settle to your account, not to PHPTRAVELS.
Does PHPTRAVELS charge a commission on payments?
No. PHPTRAVELS does not take a cut of bookings. Transaction fees are charged by the gateway under your agreement with it.
Will every payment method listed above appear at my checkout?
Not automatically. Methods such as BNPL, Apple Pay, wallets or international cards often need separate approval from the provider. Gateway activation and supported payment methods depend on your merchant account, country and provider approval.
Can I use more than one gateway at the same time?
Yes. Configure each gateway with its own credentials, use the Order field to decide which appears first, and keep unused gateways inactive so customers are never offered a method you cannot settle.
How do existing clients get the new gateways?
Install the latest PHPTRAVELS update, then configure the gateway under Settings, Payment Gateways. Enterprise includes lifetime updates; Startup and Agency clients can buy the update separately. Contact the PHPTRAVELS team to confirm which gateways your licence includes.
My gateway is not on the list. What now?
PHPTRAVELS offers a custom gateway option for regional or proprietary processors. Tell the team which provider you use and they will scope it.
Can I test without real money?
Yes. Use the provider’s sandbox or test keys with the Development environment, run a full booking, and switch to live keys and Production only after the test passes.
