How it works
PayPal is a ready payment gateway in PHPTRAVELS
PayPal is a global payments platform for cards, wallets and PayPal balance, accepted in most countries. In PHPTRAVELS it is one entry in the payment gateway list, beside Stripe, Adyen, regional gateways, bank transfer and the wallet balance. You connect it with the Client ID of a Merchant app created in the PayPal developer dashboard, so the money goes to your own PayPal business account and no developer work is needed to switch it on.
- Create a Merchant app under Apps & Credentials at developer.paypal.com
- Copy the app's Client ID
- Paste it into Credential 1 in the PayPal gateway settings of your admin
- Set Dev Mode to Development and pay a test booking with a PayPal sandbox account
- Switch Dev Mode to Production and set the gateway to active

PayPal invoices by email vs PayPal at checkout
