Offer cover at the moment the trip is booked
The best time to sell travel insurance is while the traveller is still on the checkout page, with the trip in front of them. The insurance module adds a protection step to the flight, hotel and package checkout.
Dates, destination and travellers come from the booking, so the traveller sees real prices for their own trip without typing anything again. They compare plans side by side, add one with a single click or decline, and the premium lands on the same invoice as the trip.
Not every traveller books cover with a trip, so the same plans can also be sold as a standalone policy from their own page, for travellers who booked elsewhere or want cover for a trip planned later.

Plan comparison
Three tiers, every limit in plain view
A travel insurance module for travel agencies has to make plans easy to compare. Each plan you enter carries its own cover limits, excess and benefits, and travellers see them in one table before they choose.

You set up the plans with your insurance partner and type in what they agreed: limits per benefit, the excess, whether a plan meets Schengen visa rules, and whether it is also sold as an annual multi-trip policy.

Policy issuance
The policy is in the traveller's inbox before they leave the page
Once the premium is paid, the policy is recorded against the booking and the documents are emailed to the traveller and stored in their account.
A policy number on every sale
Each policy gets its own reference, linked to the booking, the customer and the agent who sold it.
Every insured traveller named
Names and dates of birth are captured at checkout, so the certificate lists exactly who is covered.
The insurer's contacts on the document
The partner's emergency assistance number and claim contact are printed on the policy documents.
Policy documents
Policy schedule, certificate and wording attached to the booking and emailed to the traveller.

Claims
Claims go to the insurer, your agency keeps the sale
The module does not handle claims. Your insurance partner does, under the policy wording. Here is what happens when a traveller needs to claim, and who does each step.
- 01 / 04
Report
The traveller contacts the insurer using the claim contact printed on the policy documents.
Traveller - 02 / 04
Documents
The traveller sends the insurer what it asks for, such as receipts, medical reports or a delay letter.
Traveller - 03 / 04
Assessment
The insurer checks the claim against the policy wording, the limits and the excess.
Insurer - 04 / 04
Paid
An accepted claim is paid by the insurer directly to the traveller.
Insurer
Who does what
Your insurance partner
Issues the policy, carries the risk and handles every claim.
Your agency
Sells the plans, earns commission and keeps the policy record to help a traveller who calls you.
PHPTRAVELS
The software you sell through. It is not an insurer and never issues cover.

FAQ
Travel insurance booking software questions
What agencies ask before they sell travel insurance on their travel website.
Talk to salesSoftware that lets you sell travel insurance on your own website: travellers get a quote for their region, trip length and ages, choose a plan, pay and receive the policy documents, while your team tracks policies and commission in one admin.
Policies are issued by your licensed insurance partner. PHPTRAVELS is the software you sell their plans through: you load the plans, wording and prices you agree with them, and the insurer remains responsible for cover and claims.
No insurer is built in. You work with the insurance partner licensed in your market, enter their plans and price tables, and report policies sold to them. A partner's own API can be added by your developers, since the source code is included.
Each plan has price tables by destination region, number of trip days and traveller age band. The quote adds up the price for every traveller and your commission or markup is applied by plan, region or channel.
Yes. Cover can be offered as an add-on at the flight, hotel or tour checkout, with dates and travellers taken from the booking, and it can also be bought as a standalone policy.
Once the premium is paid, the policy is recorded against the booking and the policy documents and invoice are emailed to the traveller, who can also find them in their account.
No. Claims are handled by your insurance partner under the policy wording. The module shows the partner's claim contact on the policy documents and keeps the policy record your team needs to help a traveller.
Yes. Every plan includes the full source code under a commercial licence and you host it yourself, so traveller data stays on your servers and your developers can change the module.
