PHPTRAVELS vs FlightsLogic: a fair comparison for flight-led agencies

FlightsLogic leads with flight distribution: a Flight API plus consolidator and aggregator services. PHPTRAVELS is self-hosted travel booking software with the source code included. Here is how to choose between them.

  • Source code included
  • Self-hosted
  • One-time licence
  • B2B and B2C in one

The short version

Own the platform, or start from air content

Pick PHPTRAVELS if you want to own the platform: self-hosted, source code included, licensed once. Pick FlightsLogic if air content and consolidation is your first problem and you would rather the vendor ran the platform for you. Both can sell travel; the difference is whether you buy an asset you operate or a service you subscribe to.

  1. List the airlines, GDS and suppliers you sell today
  2. Run both products through the same demo script
  3. Price three years on both sides, not just year one
  4. Ask each vendor for a data export in writing
  5. Decide between ownership and a managed service

Demo script

Run both through the same demo

The commonest mistake is demoing one platform and reading a brochure about the other. Use this script for PHPTRAVELS and FlightsLogic alike.

  1. Search

Search a real route you sell, with real dates, and time how long results take.

  2. Book

Book it end to end through a payment gateway, then find it in the admin.

  3. Agent

Create a sub-agent with a markup and confirm the price they see differs from yours.

  4. Amend

Cancel or change the booking and follow what happens to the supplier and the refund.

  5. Add a supplier

Add a supplier API and see whether it is a form, a ticket or a quote.

  6. Export

Ask for a database export while you are still a prospect.

Beyond flights

Air content plus everything else you sell

FlightsLogic is built around flight distribution. PHPTRAVELS puts flights in one installation with the other products an agency sells.

  • Flight suppliers

Connect GDS and flight APIs such as Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport with your own credentials.

  • Hotels, tours and cars

Sell stays, tours, transfers and cars in the same search, cart and admin as flights.

  • Payment gateways

Take card payments through the gateways on the integrations page, or settle from the agent wallet.

Flight suppliers PHPTRAVELS connects to:

  • Seeru
  • Amadeus
  • Duffel
  • Google Flights
  • Kayak
  • Kiwi
  • Mystifly
  • PKfare
  • Sabre
  • TBO Holidays
  • Travelport

Back office

What one PHPTRAVELS installation runs

The tools an agency compares against a flight-first vendor, in the admin you host.

  • Markup rules

Per airline, supplier, route or agent, as fixed amounts or percentages.

  • Sub-agent accounts

Agents book from their own portal with their own rates and commissions.

  • Agent wallets

Top-ups, credit limits and a ledger for every agent.

  • Multi-currency

Show fares and take payment in the currencies your markets use.

  • B2C storefront

Your public booking site runs from the same installation as the agent portal.

  • Reports

Bookings, revenue, supplier payables and agent ledgers, ready to export.

At a glance

PHPTRAVELS vs FlightsLogic at a glance

FlightsLogic entries were read off its own site in September 2026. Where it publishes nothing, the table says so instead of guessing; check every point with the vendor.

The decision

Which one fits your agency

  • Choose PHPTRAVELS if

You want the source code and a licence bought once, sell B2B and B2C from one platform, and can run a PHP and MySQL server.

  • Choose FlightsLogic if

Air content and consolidation is your first problem, and you would rather the vendor ran the platform. Confirm the terms with them.

  • If you are switching

Get the export in writing, run both in parallel for a cycle, keep your URLs and move payment gateways last.

Why PHPTRAVELS

An asset you operate, not a service you rent

  • Source code included

Read every line, audit the card flows and change what does not fit.

  • Self-hosted

Runs on PHP and MySQL hosting that you control, under your domain.

  • One-time licence

Pay once for your plan; the cost does not climb with booking volume.

  • 24 languages

Sell in your markets' languages and currencies, including right-to-left.

FAQ

PHPTRAVELS vs FlightsLogic: common questions

What agencies ask when FlightsLogic and PHPTRAVELS are both on the shortlist.

Talk to sales

It is the right alternative if what you want to change is the ownership model: self-hosting, source code and a one-time licence rather than a managed service. If you are happy with a vendor-run platform and only want different features, another managed vendor is a smaller change.

PHPTRAVELS is software you install, own and can modify, covering flights, hotels, tours and cars. FlightsLogic leads with flight distribution and, as far as its site shows, the vendor runs it. Customisation cost, leaving and the three-year bill all follow from that.

FlightsLogic does not publish an answer, so ask directly and get it in writing. It is the question with the largest consequences. PHPTRAVELS includes the full source code under a commercial licence.

FlightsLogic does not publish prices; you request a demo. PHPTRAVELS plans are listed on the pricing page as a one-time licence. Ask both to price the same three years, including every supplier API, payment gateway, hosting and support, and compare totals.

Usually, but it depends on what can be exported. Ask for bookings, customers and supplier configuration in a machine-readable format first. Supplier contracts are between you and the supplier, though credentials often need reissuing, which is the slowest step.

Not for daily use. You do need someone to look after a PHP and MySQL server (patching, backups, certificates), which a managed platform does for you, and a developer to make the most of the source code.
