PHPTRAVELS is software you install, own and can modify. Travilo is offered as a managed platform with a setup fee and a monthly subscription, and the vendor runs it. What a customisation costs, how you leave and the three-year bill all follow from that.

When we checked in September 2026, Travilo published a setup fee plus a monthly fee, with extra charges per supplier API and per payment gateway. PHPTRAVELS is a one-time licence. Price the same three years on both sides, including hosting, support and integrations, and confirm current prices with Travilo.

Travilo does not publish an answer to that on its site, so ask them directly and get the reply in writing. It is the question with the largest consequences. PHPTRAVELS includes the full source code under a commercial licence.

Usually, but the constraint is what can be exported. Ask for your bookings, customers and supplier configuration in a machine-readable format before you commit. Supplier contracts generally travel with you; credentials often need reissuing.

You need someone to look after a PHP and MySQL server, including patching, backups and certificates, which a managed platform does for you. Price that honestly. You do not need a developer for daily use, but you do need one to make the most of the source code.
