Amadeus API integration: the flights connector, set up step by step
The Amadeus module connects your PHPTRAVELS flight search to Amadeus Enterprise. Register an app, paste three credentials into the admin, test in development mode and switch to production when Amadeus approves your account.

Connector setup
From Amadeus app to live flight results in five steps
The connector is a ready-made module, so there is no code to write for a standard setup. You bring your own Amadeus account and commercial terms, and the module handles authentication, flight search and order creation inside the PHPTRAVELS flights module.
- Start on the Enterprise plan, which includes the Amadeus module
- Register at Amadeus for Developers and create an app with Flight Offers Search and Flight Create Orders
- Enter grant type, client ID and client secret under Modules in the admin, with Dev mode on
- Search flights on your site and look for the Amadeus logo under the Book now button
- Apply for production keys, replace the sandbox ones and switch Dev mode to production

Amadeus offers in your search, orders in your admin
Two Amadeus APIs power the module: one returns flight offers to your results page, the other creates the booking when a traveller pays.

Flight Offers Search and Flight Create Orders
Offers Search fills your results; Create Orders turns the chosen offer into a booking. Enable both in your Amadeus app for search and booking.
OAuth2 authentication
The module requests access tokens with the client_credentials grant, using the client ID and secret you enter in the admin.
Development and production modes
One Dev mode setting decides whether requests use your sandbox keys or your approved production keys.
Enterprise endpoint
The module is built on travel.api.amadeus.com/v2/. Some regions use a different endpoint, so confirm yours before entering keys.
Source shown on every result
An Amadeus logo under the Book now button shows which fares come from Amadeus, so you can check the connection at a glance.
Known error causes
Most failures are wrong credentials, a mode that does not match the keys, or an API service left inactive in the Amadeus dashboard.
Request flow
What happens on each Amadeus search
The same sequence runs in development and production; only the keys and the Dev mode setting change.
Authenticate
Your client ID and secret are exchanged for an access token.
Search
Flight Offers Search returns fares for the route, dates and passengers.
Display
Offers appear with your markup, next to results from other connected suppliers.
Order
Flight Create Orders books the selected offer with the traveller details.
Record
The booking is stored in your admin and the confirmation is emailed.
