Travel agency desktop application for Windows and macOS

Run your PHPTRAVELS travel business from a native desktop app instead of a browser tab: bookings, customers and alerts on the desktop, offline caching and two-way sync with your website.

  • Local processing, secure sign-in
  • No browser overhead
  • Offline caching and sync
  • Windows 10+ and macOS 10.15+

The desktop app

Your booking back office, installed on every desk

The PHPTRAVELS desktop application connects to your own PHPTRAVELS installation, so agents, managers and support staff work with the same bookings, customers and suppliers as the website, without opening a browser. Data is cached locally, so existing bookings and customer records stay available when the connection drops, and every change syncs back as soon as you are online again.

  1. Order the desktop app as an add-on to your PHPTRAVELS licence
  2. Download and install it on your Windows PCs and Macs
  3. Point it at your PHPTRAVELS website and sign in with your account
  4. Manage bookings, customers and suppliers with keyboard shortcuts
  5. Keep working offline and let changes sync when you reconnect

How sync works

Online, offline and back in sync

A local database keeps the app useful between connections and reconciles with your website automatically.

  1. Install

Install the app on each PC or Mac and link it to your PHPTRAVELS website.

  2. Sign in

Agents log in with their own accounts and permissions.

  3. Cache

Bookings and customer records are stored in a local SQLite database.

  4. Work offline

Look up bookings, update customers and prepare new bookings without a connection.

  5. Sync

On reconnect, queued changes upload and new website data downloads.

  6. Notify

Desktop notifications flag new bookings and updates as they arrive.

Compare

Browser admin vs the desktop application

The web admin works everywhere. The desktop app adds what a browser tab cannot do well.

Who uses it

For everyone who works in your booking system all day

  • Owners and managers

Keep an eye on bookings, revenue and system events with notifications on the desktop.

  • Agents and customer service

Faster booking lookups and updates with shortcuts, at the front desk or in the call centre.

  • Remote and branch teams

Field agents, branches and franchise partners keep working on unreliable connections.

Why PHPTRAVELS

A desktop client for a platform you own

  • Source code included

  • One set of data

The app syncs with your own website database, so there is no second system to maintain.

  • Multiple computers

Install it on the computers your team uses, with individual logins for every user.

  • Optional add-on

Add the desktop app to your licence when your team needs it; the web admin keeps working.
