Hosting

Dedicated servers for travel booking platforms

A whole physical server for your OTA, B2B portal or booking engine: no shared resources, full root access and a configuration built around your traffic, supplier calls and background jobs.

Dedicated server hosting

The top hosting tier, for when a VPS is no longer enough

Most PHPTRAVELS sites run well on shared hosting or a managed VPS. A dedicated server is for the largest workloads: high search volume, many agents in a B2B portal, several brands on one installation or heavy supplier synchronisation. Every core, every gigabyte of memory and every disk belongs to your platform, and you decide how it is configured.

  1. Compare your workload with the PHPTRAVELS system requirements
  2. Send us your traffic, suppliers, brands and growth plans
  3. Receive a server configuration and quote for your project
  4. Move your installation, test supplier connections and switch DNS

Traffic patterns, domains, supplier APIs, email routing and compliance needs.

  2. Configure

Hardware, operating system and web stack chosen for your workload.

  3. Provision

Server set up and hardened, with backups, monitoring and access controls.

  4. Migrate

Files and database moved, then staging checks and supplier API tests.

  5. Cutover

Controlled DNS switch, live checks and a rollback plan for the window.

  6. Operate

Updates, backups, tuning and capacity reviews as the platform grows.

Workloads

What a dedicated server carries for a travel platform

The parts of a PHPTRAVELS installation that gain most from hardware of their own.

  • Booking application

Search pages, pricing rules, checkout, agent portals and the admin on PHP 8.4+, MySQL and Apache.

  • Supplier connections

GDS, NDC, bed bank and payment gateway calls with room for slow responses at peak times.

  • Background jobs

Cron tasks, rate and inventory sync, voucher and invoice generation, logs and reports.

Server management

Control without running everything alone

You keep root access. Our specialists can take on the routine work that keeps a booking server healthy.

  • System hardening

Least-privilege access, secure SSH, service isolation and hardened defaults.

  • Firewall and abuse control

Firewall rules, brute-force protection and rate limits on checkout and supplier endpoints.

  • SSL certificates

Issuance and renewal for every domain and brand you run on the server.

  • Monitoring and alerts

Resource, service and log monitoring, with alerts before problems reach customers.

  • Backups and restores

Scheduled backups with defined retention and restore checks when you need them.

  • Updates and patches

Operating system and web stack updates applied in planned maintenance windows.

Compare

Managed VPS vs dedicated server

A managed VPS suits most travel platforms. A dedicated server is the next step for very large workloads.

Who it is for

When a dedicated server makes sense

  • High-traffic OTAs

Heavy flight and hotel search, peak-season spikes and many live supplier calls.

  • Large B2B portals

Many agents booking at once, with wallets, markups and reports on the same database.

  • Multi-brand travel groups

Several white-label sites and markets on one installation that needs room to grow.

Why PHPTRAVELS

Hosting from the team that builds the software

  • Source code included

Self-hosted under a commercial licence, so the platform and its data stay on your server.

  • Standard stack

PHP, MySQL and Apache, so moving up a hosting tier is a migration, not a rebuild.

  • Clear upgrade path

Start on shared hosting or a VPS and move to dedicated hardware when traffic demands it.

  • Platform know-how

Specialists who tune servers for PHPTRAVELS search, booking and supplier workloads.

FAQ

Dedicated server questions

What travel businesses ask before moving to dedicated server hosting.

Talk to sales

A physical server used by one customer only. Its processors, memory, storage and network are not shared, and you get complete root access to configure it.

No. PHPTRAVELS runs on standard cPanel hosting with PHP 8.4+, MySQL and Apache. Dedicated servers are for very large workloads, such as high search volume, big agent networks or several brands on one installation.

A managed VPS is usually the right upgrade from shared hosting. Current amounts are on the pricing page. Choose a dedicated server when you need full hardware isolation or more resources than a VPS can offer.

Dedicated servers are quoted per configuration. Email info@phptravels.com with your traffic, suppliers and brands, and we reply with a recommended setup and price.

Yes. You get complete root access and can use custom configurations, while our specialists can still handle hardening, backups and updates if you want them to.

Yes. We plan the migration, test the database, supplier API connections and payments on the new server, then switch DNS in a controlled window with a rollback plan.
