There are many multiple different travel agencies out there that have both, a physical working environment where the people hired at that particular travel agency work and an online version of the same travel agency as well that can be visited by multiple different people at different times from different parts of the world. Having a physical travel agency has both its advantages and disadvantages just like having an online travel agency would have. But the best way to weigh out the disadvantages of having a physical or an online travel agency would be to have both versions of your travel agency and operate them simultaneously operate them in different ways that are both effective and efficient.

First and foremost, it is extremely important to make sure that the theme of your online travel agency and that of your physical travel agency are in alignment. Generally, people do not talk much about this but the minor details end up making a big difference at the end of the day, this is not only true for online and physical travel agencies but it is also true for any other organization that has a physical as well as a virtual platform where people can visit, interact, make payments, purchase different product or avail different services that are being offered to them. Having that said, minor things like the color scheme, font, type of content, number of options available for the customer, level of interactivity with the employee and modes of payment matter. All of these things should be the same throughout your brand, both in its physical self and its virtual self. For example, if the theme of your website is in the colors blue and white then the theme of your office should also be blue and white. Another example can be that if you only accept advance payments on your online travel agency then you should only accept advance payment system if a client visits you at your physical agency and inquires about different modes of payment.

Another thing that is extremely important to keep in mind is that whatever information that you are porting on your online website, it should be one hundred percent genuine and authentic. The main reason for that is because when a random person scrolling through the internet visits your website, there is a probability that that person can be your potential client from whom you can generate some business if not a great deal of it. So whatever impression your travel agency will make on that particular person will be through the online version of your travel agency so it is important to make sure that all the information that is being provided on your online travel agency in the original. It is also important to provide some background about your travel agency. The background can include things like how well established you are, when was your company founded, who is the founder of your company, the number of employees working at your travel agency, the services you provide, if your prices and packages are negotiable or not, the current market share that your company currently enjoys, what sets you apart or makes you unique as compared to the competing travel agencies, so on and so forth. The main reason for this is that the person gets the impression that you are a well-established brand and is inclined towards availing your service. This is important because if a client visits you in a physical environment, you will be able to provide him/her with all of that information but when you have an online version of your travel agency, this information must be conveyed to the person in one way or another.

Other than that, someone should always be there to answer any questions or queries that an online visitor might have. That is because when a client visits you personally to avail your service, you will be able to answer all of their questions there and then but if the same questions are not answered online then the person might feel that they should look for other online travel agencies who can help them out. Another key factor in successfully running parallel a physical travel agency and an online version of it is to invest an equal amount of time and money on both of it or prioritize one over the other based on its need. However, it is also important to keep in mind that the division of your time and money should be done in such a way that neither of them is neglected and both the versions of your travel agency help you generate more business and hence generate more revenues, eventually. It is also important to make sure that you are well aware of the firms that are competing against you, firms that are more successful than you and are trying to form a monopoly
